Gropecunt Lane - Today’s featured article on Wikipedia.
Although the name was once common throughout England, changes in attitude resulted in it being replaced by more innocuous versions such as Grape Lane. Gropecunt was last recorded as a street name in 1561.

Random Office Lady: I’m turning 65 soon. Mum died at 70. All of her sisters died at 70.

I can totally see Anja rocking this jacket. I actually saw a girl this morning who looked so much like Grade 9 Era Anja, that I couldn’t stop staring.

TRUE BLOOD

Things I like about True Blood:

1. SWAMPS (thanks, Ruby!)

2. Rutina Wesley is fantastic as Tara

3. Sookie’s wardrobe confuses me but in a good way

4. It’s managed to find it’s footing somewhere between “Buffy” and Anne Rice

Things I don’t like:

1. NON STOP TWISTS!!! Something is creeping up on Sookie OHMIGOD WHAT IS IT oh it’s just Jason n/m

2. The Vampires are styled like they are straight outta “Blade”.

3. Sam Merlotte is basically Rufus Humphrey (I just figured out why I have never warmed up to his character)

4. Being addicted to “V”… in addition to any other Vampire related terms. “Fangbanger”??

I LOVED this exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery. It’s called “Fabiola” by Francis Alys.
Created by the internationally acclaimed artist Francis Alÿs, Fabiola is an installation of hundreds of portraits of a fourth-century Christian saint. These portraits, including paintings, embroidery and miniatures, are all versions of the same nineteenth-century original, and were gathered by the artist from flea markets, antique shops, and private collections. This is a fascinating exploration of a portrait that has become an icon.
